Dental Implants at Adelaide Smile and Implant Centre Missing teeth can affect oral health, eating ability…
Missing teeth can affect oral health, eating ability and overall confidence. At Adelaide Smile and Implant Centre we have dental implant solutions to restore function and long term oral health. Whether it’s one tooth or multiple teeth we have a range of treatment options using the latest techniques and technology.
A dental implant is a tooth replacement option that is surgically placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial tooth root. Unlike dentures which sit on the gums, implants integrate with the bone to support a custom made crown, bridge or denture.
Missing teeth can lead to bone loss, shifting teeth and difficulty eating certain foods. In some cases jawbone deterioration can affect facial structure. Implants aim to support oral function and maintain bone integrity over time.
We use 3D imaging and guided implant surgery to assist with treatment planning and placement. These technologies help us develop individualised treatment plans based on each patient’s oral health needs.
In addition to dental implants we offer a range of general and cosmetic dental services including:
A comprehensive consultation is the first step in determining whether dental implants are suitable. This involves an oral examination, X-rays and digital scans to assess bone structure and overall oral health.
Each patient has individual treatment needs. A tailored plan is developed based on factors such as bone health, tooth positioning and aesthetic goals.
The implant is surgically placed in the jawbone using techniques designed to support stability and integration. The healing process, known as osseointegration, allows the implant to fusion with the bone, forming a foundation for the final restoration.
Once healing is complete a custom made crown, bridge or denture is attached to the implant to restore function and aesthetics. These restorations are designed to blend with natural teeth.
We have a range of payment plans and work with health funds to help with treatment costs. Patients are encouraged to check their health fund policies to see if they have cover for dental implants. We do offer dental implants but some surgical procedures are outside of our scope. For example if you are looking for facial reconstructive or aesthetic surgery you may need to see a specialist in that field. Dr Rodrigo Teixeira Melbourne is an example of a specialist in craniofacial and aesthetic surgery.
